Gothic Marie Antoinette

Here's a quickie gothic Marie Antoinette for a drawing challenge on an art trading site. She looks slightly more dominatrix than gothic Marie I think. Oops. Drawn in Photoshop.

Ruler of Worlds!

I made this geeky little man the other day. I like his determination, even if the ruling of worlds only occurs in his own mind. He's still ruling somewhere.

This version at left is a postcard but you can find the same design on t-shirts, mugs and the usual. Available in my Zazzle store.

I think he looks like a Fred or maybe a Marshall.

Figure Drawing

Some more life drawing from the other week. I believe this was a 20 minute pose, maybe 25.

I didn't manage to get the feet in. I have this block when it comes to hands and feet sometimes. I guess I should just buckle down and draw nothing but hands and feet for a few weeks :)

Sock Monkeys!

It's hard not to love sock monkeys since they're ridiculously cute. I drew a set of friends for a design for my stores. These guys are buddies!

Today I was featured on another blog with a mini interview about designing and selling, Zazzle Shopkeepers.

Thanks to Rico of Mind Design Grafx for the promotion!

Gesture Drawings

Some 1 minute quickies from the life drawing session today. Today's drawing went well and I love it when that happens. Those off days make me a bit sad so when it all comes together, it's a good feeling. If I get one good drawing out of the session, then I'm pretty happy. If I get two or more, then it's a lot of joy :)

Arrrrr! Handome Pirates!

Here is a handsome pirate that is probably a bit naughty. He has that look I think. He's available in my store.

Painted in Photoshop. I originally drew this guy to practice making armor from an art course I took but I always liked his face. Here he is in metal and leather. :)

Illustration Friday: Wool

Here's my IF for wool. She's the Knit Master. I wanted to do some funky sheep but this happened. Done in Photoshop.

Won an award!

I won another Zazzle award (Today's Best) for my Frida Kahlo Day of the Dead design from earlier this month. Yay!

Here's the design on a mug.

Hero Juice!

A cute teddy (also originally from some sort of art swap I was in) who loves fish. And hero juice which he drinks often.

You can find this one at my Zazzle store, like everything else. :)

Made in Photoshop.

Crazy old ladies...

Here's a raw page (pre-Photoshop) for a comic I'm (super slowly) working on with a friend. This old lady has gone a bit mad, aliens of course. They're always at fault for driving people insane in comics. She's not very nice, clearly.

Hopefully, this comic will be done over the next few months and we'll take it to one of the POD companies for printing. It will also be available online.

The man who says yes and no

Here are a couple of men (the same man actually) who say yes and no. I was in a found poetry swap a few years ago and made this little man with some words and I always loved him. This ATC was featured on one the Crescent paper ATC packages, for mixed media paper. I came across him when sorting through my art scans and thought he would make a good design for a shirt. The word NO just suited his sour little face. Then I thought he might be cool with a happy YES version to so his smiley face joined the other.

Here's the original ATC. Not sure where he ended up.

Voddoo Day of the Dead

Here's another T-Shirt design, this one featuring a voodoo master in Day of the Dead style. Ok, I know they don't go together but I sort of like the combination :)

This one was done in Photoshop.

I'm working on updating my portfolio to send out and including a series of these designs, different themes. More to come!

New Designs: Frida & Monster Gothic

Here are a couple of new designs for various items. These are both headed to my Zazzle store for T-shirts and mugs, the usual! Frida, Day of the Dead style and Monster Gothic. Both made in Photoshop. Sorry for the watermarks but I have to do that with designs. Too many naughty folks around.

Life Drawing

A life drawing from last week's session. This was a 25 minute pose.

I wish I could go to more life drawing sessions. Always such good exercises and they really help me.

Antler Girls

Here are a couple of watercolor and ink antler girls made for an art trade on IllustratedATCs.com.
