Threadless Supercats

Here are a couple of cats I designed for the Threadless "Supercats" contest. the idea was to create a cat design doing something super. Instead of the hero, I went for the anti-hero rebel type. These cats may look villainous but they have good hearts. You can have a look at my entries, here:

Rebel Cats and Don't Touch my Yarn (waiting for submission to go through).

ACEOs for Etsy

Here's a set of ACEOs I did last week for my Etsy shop. They're all colored pencil on a nice thick Stonehenge paper. No stories for these ones, just a set of pretty girls with flowers in their hair.

Road Trip

A fun Moleskine spread I did for an art friend in Massachusetts. Her theme for the journal was "road trip" so I drew a cartoony sketch of my neighborhood. The Star Trek away team often visit. I've seen them.

Life Drawing Marathon

I attended a marathon life drawing session on Saturday and plonked myself in the 2 hour pose room for the entire day. These drawings are from that session, all in colored pencil. That was a most tiring day! It's one thing to be at a 2 or 3 hour session and another entirely to draw for 9 straight hours. I draw every day for work, but I'm up and about doing other admin things so it's never a straight session.  Can't wait for the next marathon. I hope it's soon.

Life Drawing

Totally off day today. Here's the only halfway decent thing I did today in the life drawing session. Everything else was fairly horrific and bad. I usually manage to get at least two good drawings but today.... I don't know. I'll blame it on the rain or something, or my interrupting kids. :)

Busy week this week with lots of projects on the go for work and trades for art friends.
